Bad Beat Jackpot Win at Seminole Hard Rock Casino
The largest ever Bad Beat Jackpot win happened at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida on Monday. It was a Texas Hold ‘Em Bad Beat Poker Jackpot of $564,912. The jackpot was the largest to be won in the state and created the all time record for Texas Hold ‘Em games at a casino in the country.
Henry Funke, Poker Room Manager, said, ”When the win was announced there was a huge commotion at the casino. People playing at other tables came over and congratulated the winners.”
Both the winners Glen Upchurch of Clearwater who lost the hand with four sixes and won $282,453, while William Lewicke of Winter Haven was the “winner” with a straight flush to the eight of spades and won $141,227 were locals. The other eight players playing at the table won $17,654 each.
The amount to be won in the Bad Beat Jackpot had been rising since April 28, 2008 when a payment of $285,923 was made. The massive cash won this time is the largest ever won at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, which has been in Tampa Bay for five years.
The amount for the new bad beat jackpot has already gone up to $185,621. The amount of the jackpot will keep going up till the next person comes and claims it.
